Blue Juniper Inn

Beautiful little historic home that has been obviously lovingly renovated into an Inn. Beautifully decorated. Beautiful walk around the main street. We felt very safe when we took a stroll around the main street at 10pm. Exceptionally clean. It was Christmas Day, so we had the entire place to ourselves. Our only complaint, which we did not report, was the heater unit. It was set at 70°, we like it a little cooler at night and fiddled forever trying to just turn it off and could not. The unit was so quiet we never heard it running, but could feel the warm air emitting to maintain the 70°. I wish we could have stayed longer, but we only planned for one night.

We stayed three nights at this amazing place. Right on Main St in a nice, quiet location. Hunter Rose (manager) made sure our stay was wonderful.|We walked to the riverfront and county visitor center. Toured the Red Wolf Education Center south of town. Also visited Alligator River Wildlife Refuge and Somerset Place, and hiked numerous trails.|Columbia definitely has a small-town vibe.

This is a great little hidden gem!! Not at all far from alligator river nation wildlife refuge and the OBX. Hunter, the front desk attendant (via phone, this is a no touch check in) was extremely helping and caring. I was stuck camping during the nor easter in October and needed a hotel because of the weather. Hunter was super helpful and thoughtful in finding me a room at the inn. Lovely space, nice little rooms and easy to get in and out of. I can't recommend it enough and plan to come back!

The Blue Juniper was stunning. Cozy beds, ample space and luxury feel while still being quaint. John was so gracious to help during our late night booking with almost no notice. We simply just needed a one night stay traveling home from the beach and we are so grateful for the hospitality. Highly recommend!

We trailered our cycles from Wisconsin to North Carolina to ride the Outer Banks. We booked The Blue Juniper Inn because it was centrally located. The Inn was perfect! Extremely clean and well kept. Hunter was wonderful to work with. She answered ALL our questions and was so sweet. Each room has a wall air conditioner which allows each guest to control their own temperature. We visited during unseasonably HOT weather and the ALL air conditioners worked extremely well. The continental breakfast was perfect each morning. I would HIGHLY recommend this quaint Inn. Bonus: we met some very nice people who also stayed at Blue Juniper In. while we were there.
