Blue Island Resort

This used to be a great resort until the houses were sold to a bunch of stuck up people who either don’t want their places to be rented or they don’t allow pets (even for trustworthy, clean people) because of a “home owners association” type of community. There might be some nice people in a couple of the places, but as for the ones who DO rent, it’s overpriced for what’s included. No WiFi the last time I was there, and yet you’re paying as much for a place where there is WiFi. The place(s) don’t actually get cleaned either - just made to look like they have been “cleaned”. It was a nice spot to get away from everything until people started acting stupid and like they know better about the locations and properties than those who’ve been going up there for vacations every year for 25 years

This is not a resort on Snake Lake-there is no resort here. The building is HUD subsidized housing for disabled/elderly people. It's managed by A&M Property for the Oneida County Housing Authority (actually a non profit entity). So stop coming here, and looking for a place to park campers, cars, and RVs. It's private property.

Good spot to stop if you're in Minocqua.
