McGrath’s Big Arb Resort

Just spent 4 days in the walleye cabin and it was perfect for our stay. I highly recommend staying with McGrath if your looking at staying on big arbor. The cabin are really nice on the inside and feel like home away from home. The docks are very nice along with the benches on the docks for sitting and relaxing. I enjoyed sitting out on the dock at night and watching the endless stars.

The first bedroom on the right of the sliding doors was rather dimly lit. Only one three way lamp but not a three way bulb. Suggestion: replace with 50/100/150 bulb or brighter. Need trash cans in each room. And bring bags to put in them. The switch on the wall doesn't seem to control anything. All else was good and comfortable.

This is the perfect place for our family up north week. We return ever year and look forward to all the memories we make together. Our cabin had everything we need, and the location on the lake is tranquil and beautiful. We love the fire pit, fish cleaning station oh and fishing …..we bring our fishing boats and we have had a lot of success catching fish. We love the sand beach area and all of the toys that are there, including kayaks. Melissa, the owner, is wonderful to work with and makes sure everything we need is there. She’s a great communicator and we’re very thankful to have someone of that detail working with us. If we ever have anything that comes up there’s also an on-site manager to answer any questions and help us if any needs arise. Let’s just say you won’t be disappoint

Just got back from our stay in Ol' Woodsy and can't say enough about how great it was! The cabin has the perfect "up north" vibe and was super clean. Well appointed and comfortable, it included everything you could need - web site is completely accurate in description. Quick two-minute (if that) walk down the stairs and driveway and you are at the private pier great for swimming, sunning and fishing. Fishing on Big Arbor Vitae is great, lots of action!

We have come here with multiple relatives. There is a big multiple floors on the lake. There are some separate cabins right on the lake. Canoes and small single persons boats. A great area for children to learn to love the water and grow up to advanced swimming with friends. There is a close raft for learning to enjoy the water and become competent. The lake is large enough for water sports and more. I have been enjoying the eagles. In fact this morning we saw an adult eagle teaching a little one to fly and hunt.
