Billy Creek Recreation Area

Billy Creek was an amazing spot to camp in. There are no reservations required to camp. This part of the forest is popular for OHV's so expect there to be some noise throughout the day that dies down at around sunset. All of the fellow campers were friendly, they offered to let me borrow their tools to cut some of the larger pieces of firewood I found. They even recommended a nearby store (Kuntry Store), that wasn't far, in case if I needed anything. I would camp here again for an extended period of time. Almost each camping spot has its own fire ring, picnic table, charcoal grill, and pole with hooks. There is a restroom on the premises that was open to the public when I visited. There is also a large roofed pavilion for larger parties/events. Beware of flash floods and sudden temperature

Absolutely love it. Excellent trails and the most beautiful country. The camp grounds are over grown, bring a weedeater with you. Looks like some high winds or tornado came through and downed some trees right over the trail before we got to the rocks. We couldn't get there the way we had went. We had a battery chainsaw but there were a lot of big trees, maybe next time. 😔 I love this place, my favorite place to ride. It is some beautiful riding🥰 💚💚💚

Stayed overnight here during a monster thunderstorm. It was very dark once the sun went down and no moonlight. Then the lightning started. I felt like I was inside of the storm itself. Huge thick bolts flashed all around the camp and silhouetting the tall trees. The next morning I was able to captured some great photos. I’m only giving it 3 stars because of the limited time there.

Went there for the eclipse. It was in the path of totality. Very clean and peaceful. Could use some restrooms though

Stayed here on a Friday night in February while exploring forest service roads. No water or electricity hookups and all trash must be packed out. Temps got down into the 20's, only two other campers here and no atv's. Very quiet, all I could hear was the creek flowing. Great place to get some quiet time in the off-season.
