Big Lake Inn & Suites

The rooms in this hotel are extremely outdated, lacking kitchenettes and featuring very dirty towels. If my company were to stop using this hotel, it would be for the better. While the front desk staff are pleasant, it seems that the focus is primarily on money rather than providing a quality experience for guests. It is understandable that the hotel is in business to make a profit, but they should prioritize cleanliness by providing fresh sheets, clean towels, and addressing any odors in the rooms. It is frustrating to constantly have to buy air fresheners to mask unpleasant smells. Additionally, the laundry facilities are outdated and charge for use, which is disappointing. My husband I were in Big Lake to turkey hunt nearby. This motel is great. It was clean, beds were very good. And we loved the convenience of parking right in front of our room since we had a lot gear to bring into the room at night. And it was quiet...no highway noise at all. If we return to Big Lake for turkey season next year, we will definitely stay there.

Stayed here for a few days for work. I work night shift, the owner was great to work with on getting me a room for the day (Checked in at 0700 and checked out at 1700). Staff was extremely friendly, rooms were nice and clean, and AC worked well. Will definitely be staying here again if work brings me down to the area again

Booked room with the $10 pet fee online. When we checked in the M.E. guy wanted $50 pet fee. But backed down when shown his website $10 fee quote. We came thru town a week later and the website now shows $50 dog fee. Won't be staying here again. No morning coffee in lobby, not open early Too bad, since rooms are nice, roomy, quiet AC...new looking construction. Not many clean choices in Oil Patch, TX.

I stayed here for a few nights while working in the area and I must say it is a great place to stay, the staff is very friendly and very helpful, I was asked multiple times if I needed anything while I was outside just walking around. Rooms are nice and clean with fridges and cooking eyes for convenience and the area is very quiet so no problem trying to get some rest. I would recommend this place to anyone who is traveling and needing to stay in the area.
