Big Bears Lodge

Our family had a wonderful ski trip while staying there. The rooms have old charms, the owners are super friendly, the location cannot get any better. The ski shuttle is right at the end of the driveway and within five minutes you will get to the main lodge. Will definitely come back again!

I stayed at this hotel with my husband and our two children. The room was mediocre at best and did not meet basic cleanliness standards. Upon arrival, I had to clean the toilet myself, which is unacceptable. The owners, a British couple, were unwelcoming and displayed a noticeably poor attitude. Their behavior toward my husband felt discriminatory and made us extremely uncomfortable. This stay was disappointing from start to finish. I would not stay here again and do not recommend this hotel to others.

We had a reservation at another hotel in the area. That ended up not working for us and we were lucky to have found the Big Bears Lodge. The room was perfect for our family of 4 - 1 queen bed and 2 twins. It was very comfortable and homey. The hot tub was very relaxing. Before we checked in, the owner told us the pool was "open" but very cold as it had just been filled. I appreciated his straight-forwardness. Breakfast was delicious. I am so happy we found this place instead of the original hotel we booked.

I can't say enough great things about this place. Not only is it affordable but it's absolutely adorable and cozy. The owners are so sweet and incredibly kind. Any time my fiancé and I can stay here for a little getaway we jump on the chance to stay here. It's decorated so nicely. Everything's so impeccably clean. And it brings the Nostalgia of the day's I miss about my childhood. With a delicious continental breakfast and a hot tub and pool, the price is well worth it. Already thinking about our next stay there. Highly recommend.
