Best Western Troy Hotel

The workers were very friendly. However, the place was a mess. My kids thought the outside looked like a haunted house. Half the inside is shut down for construction and it made everything smell. In addition, our room wasn't clean. There were spider webs in the corner, stains on the walls, the cover for the light in the bathroom was missing, someone's old soap was left on the top ledge of the shower, the carpets didn't appear to be vacuumed adequately, the fridge was dirty, and next to the fridge was filthy with dust. Not to mention, housekeeping didn't come a single time during our 3 night stay. I would not recommend staying here.

Let's start with the only things that keep this from being a one-star rating... The bed was comfortable, breakfast was adequate and the staff worked hard to get us a room looking out on the parking lot and on the first floor since the elevator was broken. From here everything was downhill:|THE ROOM (1) carpet was filthy (had to wash our feet in the morning), and so was the headboard; overstuffed chair in bad condition (photo), (2) tile floor in bathroom was a polished surface, slippery and cracked (photo), (3) plaster wall over the HVAC unit was flaking off (photo), (4) the tub had lots of grab bars and a good shower head (photo) but was so slippery we were afraid to use it for fear of falling, (5) there was no tissue paper provided, (6) a few ants were crawling on the HVAC unit.|COMMON AR

Positive: Staff was nice, easy to get to and gas stations and restaurants nearby Negative: The beds are too firm. My brother who i was with liked it, but he said he enjoys a hard surface. I won't be back

Friendly staff. Decent breakfast bar. Motel is a little rundown but not to bad. Fridge and microwave in room. Good location. Restaraunts close by. The cleanliness however leaves much to be desired. Trash left in room from a previous occupant. Mold in the toilet. Splash back and hairs on the toilet seat and lid. Towels were dingy looking. I can only imagine how long it has been since the bed covers were actually washed.

Check in was easy, attendant was nice. But room was not clean. Hair in bathroom, very thin sheets, couldn’t drink room coffee because of residue in the water. Breakfast was not stocked when it should have been open, cool gravy…no biscuits. Orange juice was not in dispenser, coffee was instant not brewed…. Very disappointed . The attendant working the desk at check out was nice. Hotel was just not what expected.
