Best Western Plus White Bear Country Inn

I recently stayed at the Best Western Plus White Bear Country Inn in White Bear Lake, and I was very well pleased with every aspect of my experience. This place truly stands out as one of the BEST hotels in the area! The housekeeping service was exceptional—our room was spotless, comfortable, and refreshed daily with such attention to detail. The complimentary breakfast was great, with a nice variety of options to start the day right. Even when the eggs and sausage ran out during a busy morning, the staff was incredibly quick to make more fresh batches—no waiting around, just prompt and friendly service that kept everything running smoothly. We also dined at Rudy’s Redeye Grill (right on-site), and the service there was amazing—attentive, welcoming, and top-notch from start to finish. F

This former Country Inn still has the feel of that brand. The public spaces are fine and have been recently refreshed along with the rooms. ||The good: Nice looking rooms, very nice showers with large soap and tiny bottles. Windows that open. Friendly housekeeping staff. ||The not so good: Tough beds that are hard, with small pillows, and thin bedding. Small beds - the Queen room had full sized beds. We waited for quite a bit to check in. The breakfast was just ok with ham and what tasted like powdered eggs. The pool looked ok, but like most hotels with rooms overlooking the pool, the whole property smelled like pool. ||I would stay again if I needed to be right here and couldn’t find a HI Express near by.

Positive: Nice clean room comfortable good quality bed and comfortable chairs (a rarity), good location and service. Nice pool and fitness center Negative: 1. Room is nice size, but furniture fits awkwardly in room causing narrow passage ways2. Not thrilled about them charging $20 for late checkout.

Amazing night's stay. Rudys was amazing, as always. The staff at the hotel are super friendly and attentive. Beds are super comfortable. Rooms are clean and well taken care of. Only downside is that the rooms are small (but priced accordingly) and you can hear all thr noise from the hallway to the extent that it sounds like you're door is open. Lol. I am really picky about hotels, but we liked it here to the point that even with the thin walls/door we plan to stay here again.

I can't say enough good things about this hotel. It is a beautiful hotel, with the cutest pool area. We stayed at this hotel because of the beautiful pictures online of the pool area, and it was perfect! The rooms were completely clean, and the bathrooms are very modern. The pool is saltwater, which is nice, because it doesn't burn my eyes like chlorine, though it does leave the taste of saltwater (think ocean!) on my lips-that is not a bad thing! The pool is in the breakfast area, so I think that also cuts down on the chlorine smell. Of course the hot tub had chlorine (thank goodness!) Every staff person I encountered, from the front desk, housekeepers, the lady who answered the phone in the middle of the night-everyone was over the top pleasant. The breakfast person even went out
