Best Western Plus Southpark Inn & Suites

We've stayed here before, so we came back. Good stay! They're renovating right now--which means we have no neighbors! Our end of the hallway is the work area, and we're okay with that! The sleeper pullout could use a new mattress, but it's enough for one of our kids, while the others share a massive king and my husband and I have a bedroom to ourselves -- this is literally one of the best things about the stay! Plus three TVs keep everyone entertained for the ice storm we're waiting out.

Positive: Clean room. Negative: Lobby and elevator smelled like weed. The bed needed to be replaced and the springs were coming through the padding (not visibly).

My wife and I were in town for her brother-in-laws funeral and were on a tight schedule, or we would have moved to a different hotel. The main issue was that this property is advertised as smoke free. This is a total lie and falsely advertised as such. We moved to different rooms and everyone of them had been recently smoked in. We finally settled on one that was the least offensive. We went out and purchased room deodorizer, which did not totally alleviate the smell of cigarette smoke in the room, but made it somewhat tolerable. Another issue was the sofa. It was in horrible condition, and it was that way in the different rooms we looked into. They should be hauled to the dump immediately. Do not book a room at this hotel. I booked a room early morning because I had work in a couple of hours and didn't want to drive home. So I thought I would splurge a little bit and stay in a room. But no that was not the case. I booked through Booking.com and when I arrived they had no information about my booking and was pretty much told they couldn't do anything about it and I didn't get the room I booked. I didn't get any room they just said thats all they could do. Absolute garbage of a hotel

Staff is just okay. Photos are deceptive. This property is old, dated, and not wha you’re thinking you get when booking online. WiFi is horrible, almost non existent due to the speed. Breakfast is slim pickings and not very good. The pool is only open like 3 months of the year. Just lots of disappointing things that from the listing you’d expect. So prepare to be disappointed, and then kinda stuck during your stay. Look somewhere else, for sure.
