Best Western Plus Governor's Inn

This was my second stay at this hotel and I must say I am highly impressed. The rooms we're always clean and the breakfast (and the young lady cooking and serving the breakfast)was great. My experience with the front desk manager Chauna was like no other I have ever experienced. No matter how overwhelming her situation may have been (answering the phone, checking in guest) she had (and maintained) this peace and kindness about herself. Good...I mean really good Customer/guest services unfortunately seem to be almost unheard of these days but Chauna was my proof (and truly the reason I decided on this hotel the second time); that hard, able, and dedicated employees do exist and I hope she receives the acknowledgement she so very much deserves and clearly has earned. Thank you!

This place is fine, not great for what you pay. Like a lot of others, I want to highlight that the staff are a delight. They are super friendly and polite. I was just really underwhelmed by the hotel. It is a bit dated (finicky faucets, chipped and cracked paint in places, etc). When we entered our room, there was a large puddle of water on the floor. No idea where that came from. It's a bit weird that the hotel is actually 2 separate buildings too. I didn't love walking in the rain to breakfast. Also, a small thing, but WHY are there twin size pillows on a king size bed???

The property was so run down and felt so unsafe that we did not check in. Would not recommend. Did not even feel safe driving to the back of a unmaintained building. Lot needs paving, trash needs to be picked up, building needs some maintenance.

First of all , the ladies at the front desk were welcoming and delightful! I give them 5 stars . All of them were friendly & had a smile on their face . They helped with any request and were informative . Honestly the nicest people I have encountered at any hotel . There is a coffee machine available ( for free) in the lobby . That was a nice touch & appreciated after traveling ! The rooms were very clean , linens seemed fresh . The rooms were outdated with very old bathrooms with the lowest toilet bowl . No hair dryer although my friends room had one . They used a scented cleaner that was very potent and the strong smell ligered in the room all night . The building was pretty old. Ceiling woodwork was pretty elaborate. Furnishings, doors, doorframes, even the wooden hangars in the armoire had a lot of scuff marks from over  the years.  But everything was still largely functional. The room was fairly spacious. Bedding looked clean
