Best Western Park Hotel

I stayed here last year and everything was great so I decided to stay here again this year. For whatever reason the breakfast eggs and sausage were always cold and since they didn't have a microwave there I had to take my breakfast to my room to heat it up. On one occasion they ran out of regular coffee and the person attending didn't know how to replace it. The heater in my room broke about 6 days in so they decided to move me to another room which was on the other side of the floor and nobody helped me move there. I ask them to clean and replace the towels in my room which they did but didn't give me clean sheets for my bed. I had to asked them to replace them which is ridiculous because in every hotel that I have stayed that was done whenever the room was cleaned. I was very disappointe

A young lady was attending the desk. She was not friendly nor informative. She did inform me that the elevator was out of order and that we had to carry our 4 pieces of luggage up two flights of stairs. We are seniors. She offered no assistance. Upon entering the room there is no overhead lighting at the door. The light switch turned on a dull light across the room in the corner. The TV was a 19” flat screen! Really? We could not enjoy it from the bed because it was so small and the remote did not work well at all. Very limited channel offerings. The room was reasonably clean and quiet but the bathroom was old and outdated. We went down for breakfast in the morning at 8:30. The eggs and sausage were cold and hard. The warmers were not on. We visit Warren Ohio once a month or so and have been staying at a cheaper hotel. We decided to give this a try as the location was great and we thought we could offset the price with the free breakfast. I called before booking to ask about the breakfast and was told it was a nice breakfast with plenty to choose from. The room was clean and the location was great but the service and the breakfast was awful. We were told it would go till 9:30, we went down at 8:15 and there were 2 little eggs that looked very old and pancakes that could be used as hockey pucks. When I asked she said since all the guest had been down they sent the breakfast worker home. I said well we are guest and she just really didn't care. We ended up going elsewhere for breakfast and will not be back to this location. V

Where to start. The hotel was easy to find and a short walk to Robins Theater where we attended a concert. The room was clean and the beds were comfy. HOWEVER...the elevator was broken. We were on the third floor and my friend who has heart disease had a time of it schepping her bag up three flights of stairs. The door handle to the room was wonky and you had to try it several times to get the door to open. The towel rack in the bathroom fell off the wall and the bathtub drain was extremely slow. Then we went to the free breakfast. Mini omelets, sausage patties...stone cold. We checked one of the warmer trays they were in and it was unplugged. Positive: The front desk staff member was wonderful. I reserved an accessible room and he went with me to ensure it met our needs. He brought us a shower chair and helped us get into the parking lot. He was professional, friendly and considerated. Negative: Hotel is architecturally beautiful and a bit worn. Carpet in the room needs to be refurbished.
