Best Western Ocean Sands Beach Resort

We have been bringing our baseball team to the Best Western Ocean Sands for the last several years to participate in local spring break tournaments. The staff is always extremely good to our group. The rooms are clean and a great value in a very safe environment away from the Grand Strand. The on-site included breakfast is always great and perfect for our group, Our kids love the indoor and outdoor pools, access to the beach, and the coaches appreciate the on-site laundry. This is a great value in a safe location.

Very pleasant stay here during a last minute couples getaway after Thanksgiving. The price was right for 3 nights and this place was decently reviewed. We chose North Myrtle as it tends to be safe and quiet. The reviews spoke of a nice staff, good older rooms but poor parking and that was exactly our experience. The staff was great, the rooms very clean and comfy, huge tv's, and an excellent breakfast, only diminished slightly by offsite parking. Will absolutely stay again.

My 90 year old grandmother came to visit a few months ago. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. Unfortunately the rooms were under renovations when she was here. She had to switch room 4 times. The first one was difficult for her to get to. The second was smaller than which she paid for. And the third had a leak in the bathroom above the toilet, which flooded the entire bathroom floor. The fourth room had bugs but she was too tired to switch rooms again.

Positive: Location is right on the beach! The room was very spacious and clean. Parking is free and plentiful (across the street, very limited on property) Negative: The TV only got 3-4 channels. Checking in took a while as only one worker was checking people in while three others seemed to be on break. First room I was assigned had a repair man fixing the toilet.

I came into town for my sister’s wedding and needed something fast, affordable, and in the right location. Money is tight right now, so booking through Expedia and being able to pay over time was a big plus. Traveling with a family of five means everyone needs their own bed—otherwise arguments are guaranteed. I found Best Western Ocean Sands in North Myrtle Beach and decided to give it a try. First impressions: I won’t lie—the outside doesn’t look very inviting. But I was raised not to judge a book by its cover. I already knew what kind of room we booked, even though my family was definitely giving me the side-eye walking down the hallway. That changed real quick once we opened the door. At first, they saw the two beds. Then they looked to the right and realized there was a hallway lea
