Best Western Aku Tiki Inn

Hotel is clean and updated however some of the updates may not have been done well. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Air/ heat worked great. Bed was comfortable and clean but pillows are small squares and hard . TV in our room was not working and had to to be replaced ( which they did quickly). Refrigerator leaked water. ( They unplugged and put towels in front of it). 2nd floor balcony didn't have a lock on the door. Restaurant/ bar closed 1.5 hours early on a Friday night. $8 per night parking fee.|Overall good value for the money. Decent very clean hotel.

Great hotel right on the beach. They got humidifiers inside the rooms in addition to the standard A/Cs which is a nice touch. We loved the front desk staff too (gave us bottled water when I asked for a water fountain complimentary). I will be happy to stay here again whenever I come back to Daytona. Keep up the good work.

Avoid the Best Western Aku Tiki Inn at all costs. This place is an absolute dump. As we were sitting in the lobby we were immediately greeted by ROACHES. There is no excuse for that. It’s filthy, unacceptable, and honestly shocking that this place is even allowed to operate like this. They advertise a tiki bar on their website — that’s one of the reasons we booked. There is NO tiki bar. None. False advertising at its finest. If you’re going to lure guests in with amenities, they should actually exist. The pool was revolting. The water looked dirty, poorly maintained, and completely uninviting. I wouldn’t let my worst enemy swim in it. Because of the roaches and overall disgusting conditions, we refused to stay. We didn’t even spend the night. And what did management do? Refused to refu

We got there a few hours before check in and housekeeping hustled to get us in our rooms early. Room was clean, had a dehumidifier in it, which was definitely appreciated. A few issues tho, ice machine wasn't working until day 4. Had to go to restaurant to get ice and they closed at 9. We were there for Daytona bike week and thought they would align their hours to accommodate. Another couple didn't have air working in their room for the first 3 days which definitely shouldn't have taken that long to get maintenance in there to fix. Only one elevator working. Housekeeping provided excellent service and were very prompt with any requests. The shining star of the hotel was Ivie at the front desk. Positive: The pool Negative: Let's see elevator did not come to 5th floor you had to walk steps to 4th then catch the elevator. We spent 7 days and our room was never cleaned went most of the week without towels had to dry them on balcony. Pics show full refrigerator has sm wine cool
