Best Budget Inn

I was booked here for a work related trip. This is by far the worst establishment to stay at, dirty, unsafe and a health hazard. I had a terrible experience at this inn due to bed bugs and unsanitary conditions. I woke up with bites and later confirmed bugs in the bed. Water leaking from the toilet, tub and toilet nasty, and bedding and mattress soiled. This is completely unacceptable for any accommodation. When I notified the owner, the response was dismissive and no meaningful effort was made to address the issue or offer a proper resolution. Cleanliness and guest safety were clearly not a priority. I would strongly advise others to avoid staying here.

The rooms are comfortable and most have been recently renovated. The owners are the epitome of "Southern Hospitality." Since the hotel is located in downtown Bastrop, it is a short walk to shops and restaurants. Each room has a refrigerator and a large screen TV. Perfect for longer stays.

Avoid this place at all cost!!! We booked online ahead of time, when we arrived we found that the hotel was “overbooked”. When trying to get a refund online through the booking site, the hotel lied and told booking.com they had given us a refund, which never happened. The person at the front desk also seemed to be on a substance, they were muttering to themselves frantically and shaking, I felt very uncomfortable.

Budget Inn in Bastrop Louisiana is the worst motel I’ve been to in my life. I wouldn’t recommend it to my worst enemies. The floors are gummy. I went there with a pair of white socks and they were black after I took off my shoes to put on my slippers. The bed was riddled with bugs and the covers were filled with cigarette burns. The bathroom was no better. The only thing that was updated in the room was the television. Everything else was there from when I worked there in 1998. The owner of the motel was very disrespectful. I was laying in the bed and he just burst into the room and told me that I had to pay for another night after I had already paid for two and was only there for one. Im here in town for the storm work and I can say this is the best location and price in town .Bastrop has everything store wise and the rooms are 👍 good.
