Bell Mountain Wilderness

Beautiful trails with several clearings along the way to camp or have a picnic at along your treck to the peak. This area has several wonderful views to take in and the sense of peace it brings is palpable. I went with a group of friends to backpack the whole loop for the weekend and it was a blast, we made plenty of memories and plan on coming back in the future. I didn't snag many pictures between carrying our gear and enjoying the views we stayed in the moment most of the trip.

Fantastic hike, eastern facing trail has beautiful views of the shrouding valley and mountain peaks, trails well maintained; worth while scramble down to shut in creek too

A stunning 11.5 mi loop, Bell Mountain loop has everything. There are downed trees but there are side trails to get around. Plenty of dispersed camping sites at the summit of Bell Mountain. The views are stunning and gives you a Blue ridge mountain vibe!

Ozark trail flooded May 2025. Beautiful. Quiet - didn't see anyone all day. Little/no phone signal.

Cool places to camp. Pack lite, it is a bit of a walk to the cool parts. Wild hogs, goats and the occasional black bear. Some high pitched screams at night. Kinda cold in November for camping but not bad if you have the right gear. I'd do it again.
