Bedford Plaza Hotel - Boston

The truth is, I wanted to give five stars in every category because I just came back from a hospital and rehab after recovering from spinal cord surgery. While I was there, this hotel was where my girlfriend and fiancé, Lisa, stayed. She said they were extremely nice to her, and I'm really grateful to the hotel for treating her fairly and giving her such great service. It is close to her work, affordable, amazingly clean, and amazingly well-kept and well-run. It's probably an underutilized hotel in the greater Boston area. They have rooms here for weddings and everything; I can't think of anybody who would be disappointed staying in one of these rooms for the price this hotel has. Front desk personal were fantastic! Overall our room was very clean too. However, the tv needed two remotes to operate and the AC unit was completely dead and it was 80 outside. Our major complaint was use of the pool. Very clean, loved the atrium look. But the 2nd time we just got in and front desk lady (very nice) informed us we had to pay another $20! We were stunned. Not sure if it was per person or for both of us(wife). I told here we were never told this after we checked in and requested a room closest to the pool area. We used the pool after we checked in no problem but the 2nd time we had to get out. Happy, she said will not charge because we were not informed. Does not mention anything about this in Amenities either.

Typical older hotel that needs reno. Room temp was nice even with the outside below 0 F, but common areas (dining) needed a jacket. Room was large with Microwave, pod coffee. The TV was cable wita Roku, but you needed both remotes (on/off an hotel stuff on TV plus, 12 channels. Movies on the Roku. Parking was 8$/night in the garage, 5$ in the parking lot. A few restaurants and stores within walking, plus a McDonald's nextdoor. Staff was friendly, although it took 2 days to get the drain running. Towels were D-, very scratchy. Room layout was nice, a very large desk with multiple outlets at desk level. Wi-Fi was reasonable. The pool in the atrium next to dining was never open. Breakfast was 6:30 - 10:00, but food was gone by 9. Food was cold cereal, toast, baby muffins, Activa yogurt and

We really loved this hotel! It’s convenient! It’s better than we expected! It is next to a shopping center, kind of 😁. If you rented a car, Whole Foods is around , CVS is around, Marshall’s is around. Their breakfast is reasonably good too! The inside environment is very friendly and pretty with very nice rugs! They have a swimming pool there too. I didn’t use it but it looks nice! The bathroom is a little old style but it is functionable and clean. Oh , let me tell you, when you want to start the faucet in the bathroom sink, pull it towards you, you will get your water running!😀So, I would recommend you to give it try! 😃Enjoy your stay!😁

This place is a dump! Old decor, rugs are nasty, bathroom was gross no face clothes.. continental breakfast was a joke few pieces of bread layer out..6 yogurts, gallon of milk in mini fridge, 3 cereals in dispensors...pool closed...have to pay extra to park your car. The only plus was bed was comfortable. No I would never stay there again!
