Bedford Motel

I'll be honest I had my reservations but I travel for work so have seen the worst of the worst Staff is responsive and snow gets cleared promptly. Other issues are also addressed when raised if possible. Looks like new management is working on refreshing a local staple. Overall I enjoyed my stay as the room worked perfectly for what I needed. Once the weather gets nicer redoing the bathrooms and especially updating the windows to double/triple pane would make this hidden gem excellent. It appears some people might be living there on section 8 - but hey its winter in a blue state. Cricket and the ants doesnt apply in la la land

Positive: The price, the fact that the son/grandson checked me in, (he's very pleasant & actually understands English), & that the daughter/granddaughter updated my stay & told housekeeping not to bother me. She also helped me adjust my crutches. Negative: EVERYTHING!! The owner was rude. My ankle is in a cast and housekeeping wouldn't let allow me to use a basket to carry my belongings from the office to my room, the room was disgusting, the door wouldn't close all the way, the ceiling started leaking.

This was by far the worst hotel experience I have ever had in my 40 years of life. The man at the reception yelled at us and even threatened to call the police simply because we asked to change our room due to its horrible conditions. The bathroom was full of mold, the room was infested with flies, the sheets were dirty, the floor was sticky, the smoke alarm was hanging from the ceiling with cut wires, and the bathroom blinds were broken so anyone could see inside. The room looked nothing like the photos advertised – it was absolutely disgusting. On top of that, the entire place smelled terrible — even the reception area had a repulsive odor. At first, the receptionist offered us a refund because he claimed the hotel was full, and we accepted. But just moments later he started shouting

On the positive side, the proprietor was pleasant. That said, the place was not clean. A few flies in the room didn't help the atmosphere. Maybe screenless windows were the cause. The fruity smell of air freshener in the room made opening the window imperative. The shower / shower curtain looked unclean enough we decided against showering. The bed covering to protect the foot of the bed from dirt was effective but it was also quite filthy. You really didn't want to touch things there very much. Friends who stayed in a different room had a slightly better setup - maybe more recently renovated. I would not go back, but if you really cannot afford something else, this is passable. There is ice cream next door and a decent Indian Restaurant.

This is the most FILTHY place. I was disgusted . Before we brought anything into the room I scrubbed the floors, the walls, doors, windows and door knobs, along with the toilet and vanity. We could not walk in the room without shoes that is how disgusting it was. Luckily it was only one night. Just because the establishment is a “ motel” does not mean is needs to be dirty. Stained walls with lord knows what is simply in acceptable. Cleaning is a basic standard and this place does NOT ever clean. Going into a room to take used towels and give new towels is not cleaning. This place should be torn down because it does not meet basic living standards. The room was over 100 bux after tax, and really they should have paid me for douching the room I was stuck in!
