Bear Paw Lodge & Vacation Homes

I absolutely loved my time at Bear Paw Lodge! The setting at Vallecito Reservoir is gorgeous and peaceful. My cabin was cozy, comfortable, extremely clean, and had everything I needed to make this a home away from home. The owners are the best part of the experience. The Mayfields are helpful, and you can tell they really care about making guests feel welcome. They are knowledgable about the area and can point you in the right direction for hiking and lake activities. This is your place for fun and relaxation. Highly recommended.

Older cabins, but clean and well maintained. The owners are exceptionally friendly and helpful. Cabins on the main property are situated far enough away for privacy, but close enough to be great for a family reunion. All are situated in pines with deer frequently seen walking behind cabins. A central area has games for kids, and a big fire pit for gathering and making s'mores. Restaurant in walking distance. Lake and market very short drive.

We had a great stay at Bear Paw. We were accommodated within 30 mins as we ran into camping trouble with recent flooding in the area. I called and a room was available and perfectly prepared for a last minute stay. The host is friendly, responsive, and knowledgeable of the area. The area is quiet and peaceful. Highly recommended for a relaxing stay and we will be back!

My family stayed in the Polar cabin. It's location had amazing views. My family of 5 fit perfectly and the smaller kiddos had so much to do while the parents got a chance to relax. Their were indoor and outdoor games and a nice swing set outside. Plenty of outdoor seating so we could enjoy the location at anytime of the day.

My wife and I stayed in the Panda cabin and it is a great little cabin. The owner has great communication. It is almost like going back in time and we really enjoyed it. It's simple, it's peaceful and it's beautiful. It's right by the reservoir and across the street from the restaurant. We didn't want to leave. I highly recommend Beat Paw Lodge.
