Baymont by Wyndham Henderson Oxford

The staff is nice! The housekeeping staff is especially sweet. But man, the walls here are just so thin. You can hear everything your neighbour does and says. Mold in the bathrooms. The room keys also demagnetize if they ever go near your phone/cards/anything magnetic. I was getting mine remagnetized at the front desk 2+ times a day… no joke.

We chose the Baymont because it was the most reasonably priced pet friendly hotel in the area. The public areas have been spruce up, but the furnishings in the room have seen better days, although they are still serviceable. Kerr Lake Park is only 15 minutes away and a good place to walk Fido. Breakfast included omelettes, waffles, fruit (that looked fresh!), cereal and pastries. The tiny square pillows are the only reason I'd hesitate to return.

Had a great experience overall! The staff was friendly and welcoming, check-in was quick, and the room was clean and comfortable. The only downside was the noise . guests nearby kept slamming their doors late at night, which made it hard to relax. Other than that, everything else was great and the stay was pleasant.

Not a great hotel. The HVAC unit didn't work in our room. The room was advertised as sleeping five people but only had the capacity to sleep four so we had to go to the adjacent Walmart to buy an air mattress for one of our kids to sleep on. The two beds in the room were full size beds not queen size, so it was still difficult to sleep two to a bed. The bathroom door wouldn't latch and the tub had cracks in it. The eggs at breakfast were like chewing on a piece of tough leather. If you're thinking about staying here I would suggest looking elsewhere.

Positive: Friendly staff, clean lobby, well-lit parking lot. Negative: Room had some trash hidden in a corner behind nightstand. Could hear neighbors next door and upstairs.
