Baymont by Wyndham Deming

Misty M greeted us whit a warm smile. Her customer service was top-notch. Coming from out of town after a long 13 hour drive all we wanted to do was rest. The place was very quiet. The room renovations are updated. It was also cost effective with our budget. We will absolutely return again.

The first room they gave us had no heat. The room was sparse, no chair just 2 beds, one blanket on each. Maintenance came and said they had to check the breaker and didn’t come back. Took us to another room, same problem-no heat. The third room had chairs and a bench but very little toilet paper. Went to the desk at 6 am and it took about 10 minutes for them to locate TP to give me. The toilet was backing up into the shower. So no shower. Manager was not due in for another hour. Managers should be working double time vetting out all the problems going on there!

This place is being renovated and is not ready. The ice maker was unplugged and empty. The ice bucket looked like an ice cream container chewed by a dog. The bathroom fan howled. Some doors were chained shut in the lobby. My breakfast voucher was a post-it note. On the bright side, breakfast was cooked to order, real eggs, sausage, toast and potatoes. A+ on the breakfast pulled the rating up to three stars.

Positive: Location and a good breakfast. Large room and good bed. Negative: Ice machine on 2nd floor with no elevator. Difficult climbing stairs for me. No scoop in ice.

This hotel has an array of mixed Google reviews, some positive and some negative. Online photos are not up to date. This hotel has gone through alot of re-branding, it was called the Grand Motor Inn for a number of years before switching to OYO, and now it's a Baymont by Wyndham. Perhaps Wyndham will do the place some justice, as it looks like a remodeling is currently being completed. This hotel has ample parking, and I had zero trouble maneuvering a large commercial truck through the parking lot. The room was spacious, and very clean. Everything worked as it should, I had zero issues. The lobby is actually quite fancy, with a large sweeping stair case. I was pleasantly surprised. Nightly rates are reasonable, and I enjoyed my stay. Breakfast was above and beyond the typical "continental"
