Baymont by Wyndham Cherokee Smoky Mountains

I'll be honest I got stuck in NC on my way to TN because of the snow and road closures, it would have been way too dangerous to try to drive home. I picked the cheapest hotel that looked reasonably clean. I'm truly astounded by how nice this hotel is. These people have put in a lot of effort to make it very nice. Everything is new, everything is sterile.Everything is great! They even have nice soap! The owners go above and beyond. They have a beautiful restaurant style breakfast. They were so slow and I couldn't believe it! This place should be slammed with the prices they are renting their rooms! Couldn't be happier. Thank you so much for all your help and attentiveness!

Right before we pulled into this motel we had an elk cross in front of our car. Wow. Check-in at the front desk was easy and pleasant. We parked near the end of the motel so we had easy access to our room. We picked this motel for its location, but every motel in Cherokee is the right location. Our room was large, comfy, and had great wifi. Our bed was king size and very nice. The room toilet was not secured to the floor securely. They did not want food taken out of the breakfast area.

So when we called and reserved the room was very helpful and kind. Really liked the people I spoke with. Upon check in was created with the same kind and caring service. Very helpful and charming. We checked in about 740. The lady that helped us name started with a K. I think.... now we get into the problem. Breakfast is supposed to be out at 7. Its like 715 now and it is just being put out the guy that is doing it seems confused about what to do. He put out a few things and I asked if there are waffles and he walked away muttering. Not sure what the issue is. Just seems like he does not want to work.

I found this place just right for a quick stayed. Nestled near the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and Blue Ridge Parkway with a free self-parking. At our arriving we were switched from a king room to a queen one, but the gentleman gave us a discount for the disruption that this may cause. Location was inconvenient, there was a fair just next to the hotel and traffic was horrendous and noisy. Breakfast was limited and can use some help. The room was kept it clean and nice. The beds were surprisingly comfortable, nevertheless it is an old hotel.
