Basin Harbor was the most incredible venue we could have ever imagined for our wedding. The resort itself is absolutely stunning. Everywhere you look, there’s natural beauty that feels serene, intimate, and quintessentially Vermont. One of the biggest perks was having all of our guests stay onsite. It created such a warm, connected atmosphere and allowed everyone to relax, enjoy the lakefront setting, and truly be present for every part of the weekend. No transportation logistics, no stress—just time together in a beautiful place. Celebrating special occasions is always memorable, but celebrating at Basin Harbor ramps it up a notch. This year, my husband and I celebrated our five year wedding anniversary in a stunningly cozy 1-bedroom cottage with a magnificent water view. When we first walked into our cottage, we were met with an incredibly thoughtful card and a beautiful bottle of wine, wishing us a Happy Anniversary. Sitting outside on our deck listening to waves lap against the cliffs was pure magic! We dined at the Red Mill, which blew us away with an absolutely delicious vegan "steak" entree, which was 10/10, one of the best meals I've ever had! I can't say enough good things about Basin Harbor and the staff. They are incredible. The facilities are great, the activities around the resort are numerous and the food is outstanding. We have held our company golf tournament here for the past 2 years (inaugural event in 2024) and they exceeded our expectations. Will has been exceptional with lodging and Jason at the clubhouse/pro shop is outstanding and will keep us coming back every year.

Very expensive resort hotel with not many room amenities. This place was one of the most expensive, definitely out in the boonies hotel we stayed at during our long road trip. We were looking for a place to stay and it was later in the evening, and this was one of the only options in the area. The staff was very friendly, but we did not use any of the outdoor activities. We stayed in the main lodge and even though our room had a living room area, we were surprised to find NO Television in the room! The only TV was in a public space. The bathroom had one small shelf to put your toiletries, which was very inconvenient, and I could not find a hair dryer. We stayed in the Crestmont cottage and really loved it! Spacious bathroom, 1 big bedroom with 2 double beds, and a living room with a fireplace and wet bar. We didn't use the fireplace because it was summer, and I'm not sure what the policy is on using it, but the window air conditioners worked just fine for August.|The resort grounds were lovely and natural but not excessively landscaped - more like a well kept country resort. Actually, there was a set of flower beds near the Ardelia's restaurant on the property that were really colorful and vibrant, and we passed it each when walking to the waterfront.|At the waterfall, it was fun to grab the first come, first serve non-motorized craft such as SUPs, kayaks, and pedal boats.
