Baird Motor Inn & RV Park

If you don’t mind camping amidst all sorts of filth and dog crap all over the ground nearby, If you’re OK with lots of rust coming out of the water spigot when you think about refilling your freshwater tank, If you’re OK with the park attendant at the front desk, speaking what little English he knows with such a heavy, thick accent that you cannot hardly understand a word he says, Then this is the place for you ! Buyer beware Like another comment or put it, this place is indeed a real dump! Trash everywhere. If you’re outside after dark hooking up Power and anything else to your RV, you better have a good working flashlight to help you avoid all the dog crap on the ground. First off the room was way over priced. $85 a night for a motel that is not well maintained. The remodel job was halfway done and looks diy. The sink in my room was falling through the counter top because the caulking holding it in place was starting to separate. Dead bugs all on the bathroom vanity. Also the room smelled of a certain Indian spice. The only reason I actually stayed there is it was way late in the evening and didn’t want to fight with the inn keeper to get a refund and I had been working all day and just needed a hot shower and a place to sleep. Even at $20 a night it would be too pricey for what you get. Whoever reads this review just needs to drive a little further into Abilene and find a motel/hotel for the same price or a few dollars more. I travel for work an

Everything thing is ok until they say one thing and you call them on it. One rate & conditions on phone, then on arrival add charges & changes. Either they forget what they say or they just lie. RV park is a dump. Electric didn't work and no caps on sewer. Better look before you book. Really discourage staying here.

Was told would be charged a total of 10.00 less than they charged my card. The room smelled horrible. The bed had a clearly visible deep indentation in the center. The floor had stains all over it. No alarm clock. Only breakfast was cereal and almond milk. For 75.00 this place is ridiculous. Drive a bit further and sleep somewhere better.

Very nice place! I stayed at Day's Inn last night and it was more commercial. This place has a more homely feel to it and it's run by a really nice family. (They greeted me before I even got to the desk!) Their dogs are really cool, too. By the way, if you lost your hound dog, they've been taking care of him until you come to claim him.
