Avila Beach Park

Cute little park, near the Aquarium. Some free parking. More parking beach side, but I think those spots might have meters, not sure. Lots of shade trees. There are a couple of cement benches with a back so adults can relax & watch the kids. There's also a large cement step type area to seat on with with NO back. Grassy area with enough of a slope so kids can roll down hill. There are a couple of baby swings, the kind where the baby's legs go thru the seat surround. There's a couple of spring type rocking horses, a small slide, lowered sand area. There's an area where older kids (4-10 years old,maybe) can go hand to hand across these metal hand held things. Nice beach and restrooms were close. I like that it wasn't cramped. Only down side was there wasn't any handicapped parking in the parking area close to the beach.

A very nice beach park with a nice nonprofit aquarium. Plenty of parking near the beach or a few blocks away in the main street

It's such a beautiful place to visit. It is a small stretch of beach with relaxing beach space if you are looking to have a fun filled family adventure this will suite your needs.... not to mention that there's an aquarium here too that is nice and affordable. The park that surrounds the aquarium has barbecue pits and a playground... Safe travels......

This is a destination. Tons of family fun. Everything you need in a small, walkable area. Everything from an aquarium, a park, the beach, food, hotels, etc. Absolutely beautiful!
