Atwood Inn Motel

Absolutely the most beautiful road side motel I have seen. The single bedrooms are small but perfect, very clean. Would recommend slippers of some kind as they are putting laminate flooring in all the rooms. Its a great idea to help keep the rooms clean and smell down but sand is tracked easily. The owners are great and are doing an amazing job at remodeling. They were beyond understanding and allowed us to drop our trailer so we didn't have to haul it to dinner the night we stayed. And also allowed us to keep it parked there after we checked out while we went to the beach. We will most definitely be back!

My husband and I wanted to take a quick trip to see my sister at their new house in East Jordan. I wanted something affordable since we are a single income family, and hubby would be taking time off of work for the trip. Places in East Jordan were either not recommended, were Bed and Breakfasts (which we didn't want to stay at), or were too expensive, so I started looking at surrounding areas. This motel in Ellsworth had great reviews, no frills like swimming pools (which we didn't want), and was one of the most affordable places we could find that had availability on the dates were going to be there. A small, quaint, old-school motel nestled in a beautiful natural area off of an easy-to-get-to road! We were put in a room facing the courtyard and you could tell they had really put the time

We were traveling to the Apple fest and checking out the colors when we stumbled upon this place. It is clean, comfortable, and quiet . We will definitely stay here again when in the area.

We had an amazing time spent here! We were traveling all over the UP and only stopped for the night. The owner lady was super nice and we got to talking about all her beautiful flowers. She was so nice and even gave me a cutting of one to take home. Love this place, would absolutely recommend

The rooms are so nice and very well cleaned. We loved the courtyard area. Each room had its own chair outside the room which was nice. Patty was so kind and very knowledgeable about the area. We can't wait to come back!!
