Ashling Acres

Part of me just wants to gatekeep Ashing Acres, because I always want it to be available when I need a place to stay while at Colgate! I can't say enough good things. Our group of 20 occupied all of the buildings except for the main house. The grounds are absolutely beautiful and everything about the experience was so comfortable for all of us. We loved having the game room as a place to congregate and keep snacks/drinks. Honestly, we were the envy at everyone at Reunion, as we got to stay in this incredible space! Highly recommend!

Lucky for me, a friend booked a large group of us at Ashling Acres for a college reunion weekend at nearby Colgate University. We occupied almost all of the cottages (all but the main house) and had the most wonderful time together. Each cottage has a lounge area, bathroom, small fridge and coffee maker (and some have little kitchenettes) and we also had access to the game room area where we had pizza and looked at old photos! The property is green and lush, and couldn’t have been a better backdrop for the weekend. On our final night we gathered around the fire pit! We are already planning to return for our next reunion!

We had the pressure of staying at Ashling Acres this weekend , we stayed in cottage #2. The cottage was absolutely adorable, spotlessly, clean, and well appointed The beds were very comfortable, so much so, that my husband who is usually the first to awake slept later than all of us. After we came home from the Colgate football game, my boys enjoyed a bonfire on the property Ashling Acres is conveniently located to Colgate University and downtown Hamilton. I would highly recommend to anyone visiting Hamilton.

The Lodge was absolute perfection! It was clean, comfortable and beautifully decorated. The beds were comfortable and cozy. We were visiting our daughter at Colgate and it was about a 4 minute ride to the college and town of Hamilton. Gwenn also mentioned they just opened a yoga /barre/pilates studio in town for guests to use. Will definitely go back for another stay!

We love everything about Ashling Acres. The hosts are wonderful and we have been fortunate to stay in several of the suites/cottages on their property. Each one is beautifully decorated (with the best bedding!!!) and we look forward to staying there every time when we are visiting. The location is perfect being just outside of the village of Hamilton, NY and a less than 5 minute drive to Colgate University. It is a hidden gem and we cannot wait to return!
