Asheville East KOA Holiday

We recently stayed at NC Asheville East KOA . What an incredible rebuild of the park since the remnants from a hurricane two years ago decimated so much. The infrastructure is all new minus bath houses just yet. They shared with us the 5 year plan to make it better. Clearly, they are on track to make it happen. The resilience of the owners is so impressive. We stayed 3 nights to spend time with relatives in the area couldn’t have been a better choice. They may not have bathrooms yet but I’m giving this KOA a 5 star for what they have endured and their commitment to make their guests experience more comfortable. If you’re in the area give them your business.

I wanted to share my thoughts on this place since this is my first stay back here since the hurricane. What an amazing recovery they’ve made. From being basically wiped off the map to what it is now is truly amazing. It’s a special place! It will take years to get back to what it was before. But hats off to all involved in the transformation since September 2024. To the reviews that give it anything less than 5 stars, shame on you. Some folks will never be happy regardless and should probably just stay at home. This campground has everything one needs for a very happy stay. I’m enjoying my time and will definitely be back! The staff has been great! Sites are level! Campground is clean! River is beautiful! Sunsets are beautiful. Not sure what else one would need! #happycamping

Still a lot of work to do after the flood last year. Easy in/ out. Level gravel site with FHU. Sewer connection in rear. Good home base if visiting Asheville, Blue Ridge Parkway, or mountain area. There are some long term folks here. Close to highway, but after 6 pm noise level is quieter. Would stay here again.

Best KOA we have ever stayed at! They are very accommodating. The campground is beautiful and has a lot of amenities. The staff is wonderful! We had to check in at a later date than anticipated due to unforeseen circumstances. We notified the campground and they did not charge us for those days. We are thankful to have found this campground and plan to stay here many more times in the future. Thank y’all so much for a wonderful stay!

We have been visiting this park since 2018, and it remains one of our favorite spots in Asheville. The atmosphere is consistently serene and peaceful, making it a perfect retreat. It's excellent for dog owners; there are plenty of walking trails, and the dedicated dog park is always clean and features great lighting. The park staff is outstanding. They are always friendly, helpful, and accommodating. We sincerely hope the park can secure the funding and resources needed to complete the ongoing repairs following the hurricane
