Aqua Motel

This place is the best kept secret in Arkansas! You are extremely close to the crystal mines, yet you’re out in the woods if you want to sit outside. You don’t have to worry about anyone taking anything out of the back of your truck which matters if you have a lot of tools in your truck. The owners are AMAZING. Shirley is the best and she makes sure everything is taken care of. The rooms are extremely clean! She even checked on us to make sure we had clean towels after we had been there only a day. It is extremely dog friendly! We travel with two big dogs and this is the best place we have ever stayed with them. The highway is far enough away from the rooms that we don’t have to worry about it. We get the kitchenette so we can bring all of our own food and cook our meals, which saves a ton

The Aqua Motel is a delightful place to stay if you are into vintage experiences. It is a family run business and the owner and her son were so friendly. The motel was built in the 1950's and has a midcentury feel. The accommodations are simple and no frills, but give the guests all they need for a comfortable stay. The room was very clean.||I had a unit with a kitchenette so was able to make coffee in the morning and sit on the porch to enjoy it. The area is very quiet and the birds are numerous. I spent a good amount of time visiting with the owner, who knows the area well and will be able to direct you to anything you are looking for.||I hope to visit the area again in the future and would certainly stay here again.

A warm shower and bed is a treasure when in the middle of a 10 day Ouachita trail hike!

Fate brought us to the most unexpected bliss backed up to the national forest. It's so quiet and peaceful out here. We booked one night then wound up staying for four because we didn't want to leave. Turn off your cell phone and imagine a 1960s river, forest, and lake adventure motel. It's truly a gem and the owners are too. Everything is super clean and ready for you to cook as well. Thank you for a wonderful experience in Arkansas.

We had an amazing stay here! The owners are so friendly and helpful. We stopped there for Christmas day and wanted to do some quartz mining. The directed us to an amazing spot and did everything they could to make our trip enjoyable. The rooms are not luxurious, but are very comfortable. Rooms are very simple and old. It was very clean and tidy, but no frills. They are nestled at the base of a mountain and surrounded by huge pine trees. We had no cell service, and that just added to the enjoyment of our family trip without distractions of electronics. We plan to make this a stop on future vacations!
