First time at the campground and village and won’t be our last! What a hidden gem. We camped in our RV. But there’s also cabins and a hotel. The campsites are first come first serve. Which for the novice is confusing. There’s more dry camping than hook ups which are 30amp. The place is huge and has so many nice sites. Some of the FHU sites are a little tight. And if you don’t get one right away you can move when it does. I heard summers are busy there. Has a great full service camp/fishing store, an amazing fully filled store and gift shop. And a restaurant and small bar. The staff were all pleasant. Mary checked us in. Very kind. The lake is beautiful and has rental boats.lake activities and fishing. The views are so pretty of the mountains, and the village has a stream with
We haven't been in years. The campground lies below the most majestic of mountains. Showers are nice and clean. Campsites are undefined and hard to determine where you can park. Roads are hard to figure out. There isn't much signage. There is one bear box for every 4 to 6 campsites and if someone is using it, good luck. Half the campsites have no fire rings. Staff are very rude!! My daughter and family came up. There is no cell signal, so I had no way of telling her we couldn't pay for her site until she arrived. She doesn't like confrontation and she is happy to follow whatever rules but needed to get me to let me know she was there. She was treated like a criminal. They finally allowed her to walk up get me. Our kind christen, camp neighbors were yelled at for doing something wrong whi
I Just LOVE this place. Been going ever since I was a little girl! This place is a magical family vacation spot. My children are now the fourth generation to visit. I have the best memories here. Crisp mornings with coffee, meals at the restaurant, shopping at the store, boat house, boat rentals, fishing, hiking, wildlife watching, relaxing… sooo much more. I love the cabins but we’ve literally done it all here.. tents, trailers, cabins and the motel rooms. All experiences have been the best. I love summer time, ice cream at the bear den, concerts, BBQ. Fourth of July up there is the BEST. I love to order a burger and fries from the restaurant and go enjoy it on the shore watching the ducks and geese. Great fishing for fishing people. My husband and kids love to fish. I love to watch the w
Sad experience this year. Been going for 30 years.|Staying. In the cabins since l've had kids. This year I got banned for damage to the cabin. Asked for pictures, refused. Asked for an invoice to pay, said it was $532 and refused. I didn't take pictures leaving cause I figured we were all civilized people but they have it out for certain people. Always been wanting to try out another spot and it looks like the staff has force me to do it this year. Please take pictures before you leave. They will scam you and she literally said|"it's my side vs yours". Hopefully the women who run the hotels will retire or give up soon. Sad to have to live their life that way. If I could give this place zero stars I would. There is a 🚨MICE INFESTATION🚨in the motel rooms. We had 2 little mouses running around in the room. It was a horrible night and we ended up sleeping in the car. They offered to put traps in the room. It is not my responsibility to take of dead rats. We also spotted 2 ROACHES. You can hear things move in the walls at night. It was absolutely disgusting. They would not give us a refund because we refused the rat traps. The lady there must have a horrible life because she was so rude and unapologetic. The nature there is beautiful but not worth staying at the property. I would go down the road to the Twin Lakes Inn. DO NOT STAY HERE.
