Anchor Pointe Inn

We stayed here the night before our cruise, and it’s a cute little mom-and-pop inn. The staff was very friendly and kind, even though we arrived later than expected. The rooms were clean and the price was very affordable. If you’re looking for a place to stay before your next cruise, I would definitely recommend it.

I have stayed at Anchor Pointe inn multiple times over the past 3 yrs before boarding cruises in Long Beach. I will be staying again this coming May and this time I am coming with my Godmother. I was showing her the reviews and realized that I have never left one. I also read a recent review that seemed overly harsh/unfair and did not reflect ANY of my stays at this hotel. Anchor Point Inn is clean, safe, quiet and the staff are extremely kind and helpful. I have always had a pleasant time here and appreciate that they have remained an affordable and fairly priced option. There are not a lot of food options in the immediate vicinity, but there is a plaza with a supermarket and places to eat within a 15 minutes walk and a convenience store around the corner to the right and a block down. I found Anchor Pointe Inn online with a Google search. Their website was simple to navigate and easy to book a room. Easy-going, helpful staff. Very clean room! Close to major freeways and not a problem getting to and from. I felt safe in the neighborhood as well. I enjoyed my weekend with them and would stay there again!

It's CLEAN and the owners are quite lovely. Very accommodating! We chose a room with a private bathroom, and didn't notice the bed was only a full. It was fine for one night. It's more of a hostel than a hotel, but zero complaints for the price and ease of check in/out. The wifi was working for the phones, but the TV only had service for about an hour. It was fairly quiet overall and we felt safe walking around to the local shops and restaurants.

I am not a snob and I like nice, budget friendly motels. Those that I have stayed in were really nice. This place was not! It is comparable to a hostel. No elevator, so I carried my bags up a flight of stairs, 2 weeks having a heart attack. I opened my door to a very underwhelmed feeling. The small, old sink was the room and didn’t work. We had to brush our teeth in the SHARED jack and Jill bathroom shower. Shared bathroom with room next to us… who does this in America? Very very unsanitary! The surrounding area is disgusting in a very run industrial area. There was a train track very close by and the train horn kept me awake all night long. The reviews are very deceiving with photos and remarks. Come on owners…. Do better!!!
