Great campground next to a private beach. When the tide goes down, it’s yours for the taking! So much to explore. The tide pools are amazing, there is a creek that flows into the ocean. In the tide pools there are anemones, starfish, hermit crabs, and more. Very clean site with clean restrooms and showers. The staff there are amazing. Quiet location also!

Crowded camp grounds. Has beach on Pacific. $66.00 a night just water site. Not horrible price considering State parks in area want $45.00 a night and not right on the beach. Pay showers either way you stay. Very nice walkable Thia Restaurant on top of hill in Anchor Bay above campground.

Been heading up to Anchor Bay for a couple of years now, and absolutely love this place! The campgrounds up at the top are nestled amongst the redwoods, a quiet and peaceful spot when they’re available, even with hwy 1 running behind it (daytime noise isn’t bad and when sun sets, hwy gets very quiet). We haven’t tried the sea wall yet, but you will get great sounds and a view of the ocean. Chris and Traci do a fantastic job making the campers feel welcome and appreciated. They and their crew keep the grounds clean and maintained, as well as shutting down potential issues quickly. They are always friendly and are a pleasure to be around. Looking forward to our next trip!

I can not stress this enough... Enjoy one of the most prime locations for a beach getaway. Leave the troubles behind and set your sights on majestic redwoods opening up to sunny skies and a serene south facing beach with miles of continuously changing sands, tide pools, nooks and shimmering crashing waves that roll on shore washing away the days woes. Backed by top tier hospitality, expect your stay to be seamlessly pleasant. Be advised though... This more than a century old property has generations of families that call this place home away from home. With that comes a sense of stewardship and ownership that you rarely find at other camp grounds. For those families and us fortunate enough to enjoy this site, the idea is quality over quantity. Out of bounds individuals and questionable be

Excellent campground, right on the beach! The staff who run this place are also very attentive and thoughtful, and there’s even people with permanent campsites here! The place is very well-maintained, with bathrooms, showers, the small little store where you could buy ice cream or drinks, a community area for eating and playing on grass, fair dog, friendly as well! Highly recommend you visiting this place
