AmericInn by Wyndham Princeton IL

I had a great stay at the American Inn in Princeton, IL. The room was very clean and had plenty of electrical outlets, which made it convenient to charge all of our devices. The TV was a decent size, and the mattress and pillows were comfortable, so we slept well. The staff were welcoming and accommodating throughout our stay, which really made a positive impression. The pool and hot tub area were very nice and well-kept — definitely a highlight. The free breakfast was about what you would expect for a hotel in this price range. My only downside was the eggs, which seemed to be the instant type and weren’t my favorite. Otherwise, everything was solid. Overall, it was a comfortable and pleasant stay, and I would consider staying here again.

Loved this place! Cozy and friendly vibe. The staff were super friendly. Breakfast was good, and the rooms were really clean. We had some fun playing in the pool and relaxing in the hot tub. Both at great temperatures. It was also a great location! Would love to visit again.

Their website was obviously faulty. I thought I reserved a room but received no email confirmation. A few weeks later I tried again and this time received the confirmation email. So I had a reservation for one room. I received notifications about that one room reservation in my email including the ability to check in online. When I arrived they said I had multiple rooms reserved. I showed them that I only received emails and check-in info for one room. The manager was incredibly rude to me but told his employee to cancel my other reservations, but made it clear that I was at fault and not the system. Upon checkout, I received a bill for only one room (the room I received the confirmation about) but they charged my credit card two other separate $100 charges. Apparently it was for cancellin

We stayed 2 nights on our way to Iowa this weekend. Location off 80 was perfect. Staff was for the most part very accommodating and pleasant! Kathy went out of her way to help us with an issue in our room, offered other options and also offered to move us to another room if we wanted. She was training another staff member, Sabrina who was very sweet, and showed great care in how to respond to customer issues. Glad we chose American and will stay again when in the area.
