Americas Best Value Inn West Frankfort

First off, nothing against the staff here. They maintain this as a 2 star…maybe a 1.5 star. The room is quite large, surprisingly. But the floor is scuffed and dirty, Breakfast is literally just cereal next to a very grungy coffee maker and grungy toaster in the lobby. Our kids can’t reach the toilet paper in the bathroom, because it’s on the wall across from the toilet. My wife totally forgot that this is my least favorite hotel chain. After over 13 hrs of driving, we pull up and I’m just like “Babe, this chain is worse than Motel 8.” We have had so many bad experiences with America’s Best Value in different states. It truly is bare bones. We travel with our 4 kids a lot and the kids look forward to our 1 night hotel stays because they like the breakfast. But we haven’t stayed at a hot

Biggest complaint is the meth head housekeeper. Leaves a vanilla coke, a water bottle, and lunch box in our room. Then comes to the door in the morning insistent that we took her property. News flash, junkie! We flushed your bag. You shouldn't be bringing your drugs to work with you.

I was hesitant about staying here because of some of the negative reviews, but I'm glad I didn't listen to them. This place is a gem! Location is great and price is even better at $77. Everything was clean, no odors, Google TV with all the apps. The only complaint would be the breakfast. Could use a little help, but then again, it is the basics. Overall recommended, especially to my fellow Truckers. It's right next to a truck stop and the parking is right behind the motel.

On November 1st, 2025, I checked in at 5:08pm. I checked out with the hour. I am a disabled veteran suffering from PTSD. After check in I suffered a PTSD episode and had to check out immediately. I requested a refund for the stay but was refused. As a AARP member and a disabled veteran I was refused a full refund. I find this totally unacceptable. I will never recommend this hotel ever.

I haven't been there yet, but based on the positive reviews, I'm considering it. Do they offer weekly rates?
