Americas Best Value Inn Vandalia

Positive: Great price. Clean bathroom. Comfortable chairs. Fridge has a freezer. Nice people. Negative: The floor in the room was that snap together flooring, and the pieces were getting worn. Next time they should use a better quality material.

The staff at the front desk was awesome and it was great to see them wearing regular clothes and not some stupid uniform. The room was adequate. The bed was comfortable. The pillows needed thrown away. The heater made a loud weird noise all night and the smoke set her even with a new battery chirp every few seconds. The shower hot but not much water pressure.

Not to bad for a one nighter stay. Bang for buck you can't beat it. For some reason the bathroom was modern and updated but the room was so so. Maybe there just doing it a little at a time.

My experience was mixed. The good part was...the ice machine worked and they have great water pressure. The bad part was that when the 2 washcloths and towels were used...I had to go after clean ones. If you like cockroaches and bedbugs, this is your place to be.

I always stay at Hilton or Marriott hotels. I chose this place because it was the only one around and it was FANTASTIC! Clean, safe and comfortable. Oh, did I say clean? If there was a Marriott across the street, I would stay here!
