Americas Best Value Inn Stephenville

This place is a dive. Rats in the rooms. Filthy, borrowed the vacuum, had to clean it and clear the clogs to used it. Filled the canister in one vacuuming and that was the day I arrived. Curtains barely hanging by a thread. There was no security lock on the door, towels and sheets were stained and felt like sandpaper. I asked for washcloths, tissues and toilet paper and I was told they would bring it when the do the rooms the next day. They made up their own prices, there is no pool as advertised, no breakfast as advertised. They remodeled the cafeteria for their living space. (Nicest area on the property) no washer or dryer as advertised. Planning a family vacation? I wouldn’t bring my dog to that place.

The hotels are disgusting not worth it at all maybe the cheapest in town but you get what you get. The lady in the front office was a total grease ball filthy like a 1960 model hotel.

- Cons -A.C. was not working probably clogged and dirty filter. Wouldn't be so bad in cooler weather but currently it's mid 70s overnight and lower 90s at daytime. -Low shower pressure -They have a pool but pool has no water. + Pro -Rooms were clean -Location not too crowded easily accessible -24 hour diner is literally at the edge of the hotels parking lot. Has all the basic amenities -coffee maker -microwave -mini fridge If your in a bind and need a room this will do but there are lots of other options.

We stayed a night and a half because of bedbugs wasn't the cleanest. This Saturday and left Sunday evening after seeing bed bug bites and a bedbug . We had help getting the room because we're homeless and sleeping in the car. I felt bad for the people who spent there money on this room
