Americas Best Value Inn San Clemente Beach

This is a solid "meets expectations" hotel. The room was spotlessly clean. Its in the process of being updated so some items are new others not. Great location, close to everything in SC. It is next to the highway so you'll hear it. Best priced hotel in SC. Staff was friendly. The AC in the room did not work well, but I gave the front desk this feedback and they seemed to take it seriously. Overall a good experience

The reviews here are pretty accurate. Pros - clean, comfortable room; quiet (at least on the 3rd floor; very efficient air conditioner/heater, easy parking. Cons - overpowering bleach smell as you walk in the room - open all the windows and let the air circulate for a while; low shower water pressure (this is a big one for me - please don't deprive me of a good, hot shower at the end of the day!); no continental breakfast option or in-room coffee. If you want coffee, you'll have to drive a few minutes to the Chevron down the street - believe it or not, excellent coffee!

Great place to stay in the San Clemente/Calafia Beach area, whether you are visiting, surfing, or just passing through on the highway! While this is an older property, the rooms were very clean and comfortable. The bottom floor was parking and registration, with 2nd and 3rd floor being courtyard style rooms. The parking level had a decent amount of spots, and there are some additional spots in the alleyway behind the property. Street parking didn't seem too bad if those were to fill up. The room was very clean, heating and air worked well, and the unit had a refrigerator and microwave. I interacted with three different people during my stay, and all were pleasant and friendly to talk to. The whole property is non-smoking. Best value for your money. My cousin and I stayed for two nights. The room was immaculately clean. The bathroom the tub everything was clean. Wonderful working elevator. Nice little view of the ocean. The reception was extremely friendly and kind, as were the housekeeping staff. Beds were comfortable and slept very well. Plenty of towels. Small quaint and felt very safe. Also, private parking under the hotel was a big plus. Would highly recommend.
