Alta Lodge

Alta Lodge is a fantastic winter stay with unbeatable ski-in/ski-out access to Alta and Snowbird. The lodge is clean, comfortable, and well run. The staff truly sets it apart—especially Mike and Dan at the Sitzmark Club and Rosie, the innkeeper, who all make guests feel genuinely welcome. Great dining, cozy rooms, and excellent value make Alta Lodge easy to highly recommend for a wonderful ski trip.

We booked Alta lodge for our destination wedding a year ago. Misti, the wedding coordinator was in contact with me the whole time and was so helpful at helping me plan! She responded quickly and was very patient in answering my thousands of questions. We didn’t go to the lodge until our wedding weekend and hadn’t tried any of the food so we had faith that everything would live up to our expectations. We booked the lodge for the whole weekend and had access to it exclusively, we had a welcome dinner, the wedding and then a farewell brunch. Alta Lodge is a cozy mountain escape! Ski-in/ski-out access, hearty meals, and stunning views make it a skier’s dream. The rustic charm and warm hospitality create a welcoming vibe. Perfect for unplugging and soaking in the alpine beauty—classic comfort in the heart of Alta.

We stayed at the lodge as part of a summer wedding and they did accommodate us as my wife has issues with stairs. So we stayed in a room off the lobby. The room was small and reminded me of summer camp with the wood paneled walls. Comfort was OK and I used the chairs in the lounge across the hall to catch up with email. etc. The rate was high compared to other hotels down in the valley, especially for off season. The included breakfasts were OK, but nothing special. The catered dinners were also average, as was the Sunday brunch, which they charged $40 for, although the person in the dining hall said it was included with the room. The staff was helpful in driving us up to the road as there is no way I wanted to carry suitcases up three long flights of stairs to our rental car. The
