Aloft Newport on the Levee

We stayed at Aloft for two nights over the weekend. Front desk were incredibly friendly. The room was comfy and what we'd expect. Breakfast was good. You have a handful of options to order (as opposed to a buffet style) but my wife and i didn't have trouble picking anything. If you have more restrictive diet requirements, i'd suggest calling ahead to check the options before adding it to your stay. Parking: the garage is kinda hidden in a dead end in the middle of the complex off the 3rd street entry. you have to check in before gaining access. the hotel's front door is also in this area. We managed to park in the Aqua Garage, check in, figure out we're in the wrong garage, and move our car easy enough. I recently stayed at the Aloft for a wedding weekend. It was one of two hotels on the suggested list. I cannot remember when I was more disappointed in a hotel. We stayed 3 nights. On morning 1 my husband was so disappointed he started looking for another hotel. However it was a busy weekend with Octoberfest, ballgames, etc and that was not going to happen. Here is a list of my complaints.||Location: Ok for getting to Cincinnati wedding, and walkable to Cincinnati. The hotel faces immediately into condos & parking garage so there is no view of the river.||Atmosphere: The public area tries to be hip, but it's all run down. The chairs where worn, the paint edging is chipped, the pool table was damaged and 1 of the 2 elevators did not have the security working with the keycards for entry (not

Positive: The location Negative: I felt like it was a bit overpriced. The view was not great, the room was small ( with no bathtub), the TV was not a smartTV, and the elevators were annoying.

I had a very pleasant stay at Aloft Newport on the Levee. There were some issues locating my reservation at check-in (all related to Bonvoy corporate, not this property). The manager Robert got involved and was extremely personable and helpful. He was able to fix everything, and for the trouble he offered me 2 free drinks at the bar and complimentary parking. The bar and bartender (I can’t remember her name) were awesome! She helped my wife with drink recommendations and also recommended a great bar down the street (Prohibition Bar) which we also loved. This property has a ton of amenities from pool, to pool table, to cornhole, Jenga, and a heated patio area. I have stayed at many Aloft Hotels before and usually choose them because they are pet friendly, which is why we picked this location for a 2 day business trip. The room, lobby, and breakfast-to-order were all good, and overall the property is nice. However, the WiFi was a major issue..! We could connect, but it simply didn’t work. On a business trip, reliable WiFi isn’t a luxury, it’s essential. We were told the building is under construction, which may explain it but this should be clearly communicated to guests in advance or addressed with backup solutions. I hope this improves, because otherwise this is a solid place to stay.
