Alafia River State Park- Campground

This was a great stay! The mountain bike trails were really well kept and had a cool layout. There were tons of options with varying difficulty levels — everything from beginner trails to double diamond, so there’s something for everyone. The horse stables looked well maintained, and the campground itself was quiet and peaceful. Most of the campsites were pull-through and very nice. The bathhouse was clean and well kept, which is always a plus. Definitely a good spot if you’re into biking or just want a calm, nature-filled getaway.

Camped 2 nights, rode the bike trails. This is a great place, clean bathrooms for a campground. Lots of space to spears out and throw the football. Next time bringing the dog as my golden would love it!

Alafia River State Park - Campground is located within the Alafia River State Park premises itself. The Alafia River State Park is located at: 14326 S County Rd 39, Lithia, FL 33547 They top quality campsites Primitive Camping to some of the BEST Tent Rentals available. There are Campsites for Campers and RV's They have Fresh Water, Fire Pits, and BBQ Grills depending on which site you want. There are Restrooms, Fishing, Trash Disposal Site, and a Holding Tank Dump Site. There are Playgrounds, Equestrian Trails, Hiking Trails and Biking Trails in a separate location of the park. If you want to experience or explore the Florida Wilderness at it's best, this is the BEST place for you  !!!

It’s February and we have 10 days in the campground. The woman’s handicap shower is still broken two months later - missing the hook to hold the shower head. I’m blown away how many bikers are using the campground showers and trashing them with mud. I had to wait to use a shower and the people using the showers were not camping (no sticker in there car window). It’s Saturday night and there are 10 cars parked in front of the showers and the pavilion full of people BBQ’ing with no campground sticker in there window. They are being super loud. I’m not sure how the park can allow this for non campers in the camper campgrounds…….
