84 West Motel

We loved this place! My relatives and I needed 2 rooms for the night before the solar eclipse, April 2024. This place did not jack up their prices. The hotel consists of multiple separate little buildings. We had a single and a double room and both were remarkably clean. The beds were comfortable. There was a small fridge with a separate freezer which was quite handy. There were rocking chairs in front of my room and a gazebo a little ways away. Just a nice place! It was quiet and we weren't disturbed by housekeeping in the morning. The internet was a bit slow when everyone was using it, but that was the only issue. I would recommend this place and would certainly stay here again!

What an adorable motel! The owners have put a lot of time and care into their property and it shows. They even have propane bbqs for guests to use! The rooms are private and quiet. With parking at the door of my room, it felt more like an apartment than a motel. The rooms are impeccably clean. There is wainscoting in the bedroom and bathroom but not a speck of dust anywhere. The floors are tile, so no smelly carpets. The bed is draped in the most beautiful salmon colored sheets. I don’t think I’ve ever stayed at any hotel/motel with colored sheets. The AC is cold. My husband has been here three times. The owner is so very friendly and accommodating. We will stay here every time we visit Kennett. The room we stayed in was a little bungalow with a shower and a king size bed. The bed was very comfy

My husband and I plus our pets actually stayed here in our camper for a couple of days, but we were able to look into the little casitas (motel room tiny houses) while they were being cleaned. They looked totally accommodating and nice for the price. No, it's not a fancy chain hotel, but personally I find those rather boring and predictable. This is a family-owned business by a couple who takes a lot of pride in their motel. It is decorated very colorfully and has a very homey feel to it. There is a nice open courtyard in the center of all the casitas, with hammocks, a lounging area, shade trees, grills, etc. It's sweet. And the owners are some of the most attentive and personable folks I've met. They live on-site and take care of the whole place themselves. They do a great job.
