6 & 40 Motel

We enjoyed our stay at the 6&40 Motel. Jennie and her husband were so very kind and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable. The room was clean, warm, and well stocked. They have kept up this motel very nicely despite the age of the building. It truly was a very pleasant experience.

We called up last minute to book a room at this place and the owners were very accommodating and helped us out. ||Most importantly the area is amazing. Idaho Springs is one of the prettiest towns I visited on my road trip around the USA. It has everything you need and it feels very homely. ||The time of year we visited probably was not the best, as it was -10 degrees Celsius and very icy but it didn't change how beautiful it was. Jenny was so very kind and went into our room an hour before we arrived to put the heating on so it was warm for us when we got there. The room itself definitely could have done with some work, especially the bathroom but it really did have everything we need. I had to stay here a few nights ago w my family on whim. I was expecting a sketchy motel in a mountain town. Nope! Out comes this beautiful woman, (looked like she belonged on an K-drama/dorama) with great customer service, soothing energy and empathy for my situation. As someone who loves interior design, I could tell that my room had a lot of love, thought and care put into it. The corners of the bathroom floors are spotless and tons of simple thoughtfulness of in house products etc. Care, precision, cleanliness and comforting energy covers this motel. I feel blessed to have found this place!

Had great experience with the hotel owners, very kind, and understanding to my particular situation with my family. The rooms were clean, and stocked up. Beds were neatly made and the room was warm. Thank you again for allowing us to stay, and for such compassion and understanding!

Clean, cute, and comfortable! Our host went above and beyond to make sure we had a wonderful stay. Had every amenity you could want, bit off traffic noise during the day, but quiets down at night so it never bothered us! Location in town was great, and other guests were very respectful. Don’t miss out on this gem!
