1910 State Hotel - temporarily closed due to remodel

Such a charming hotel! I was in need of a place to stop on a drive to New Mexico and this amazing spot popped up and I'm so glad I stopped. It's clean, cozy, and the manager is wonderfully accommodating. If you are in the area or driving through I highly recommend!!

We reached Sterling city an hour after dark and the hotel seemed to be closed, we called the after hours number and a nice guy named Joseph drove into town and set us up with a room. The hotel was quaint, cozy and clean. The price was reasonable. We’ll stay there again.

The 1910 hotel was a great experience! The staff were super accommodating and helpful. The room itself was really clean. The bed was comfy and even though my room was next to highway I didn’t really hear the cars coming by. I would definitely recommend anyone to stay here.

What an amazing experience. I highly recommend staying here if you are in the area! Super clean rooms and very friendly staff! So I travel for business and usually stay at ihg or Hilton hotels. But it just becomes so repetitive after a while so I decided to try something different for a week. I'm so glad I did. I was so impressed with how well they remodeled. It was almost like a perfect mix of old and new. Plumbing all worked perfectly and water pressure was great 👍. Bed was very comfortable and housekeeping was so good at their jobs. Honestly, I feel the rooms were cleaner than high dollar chain hotels. They have a laundromat which works great, a game room, a kitchen and a big screen TV in the shared area downstairs. Excellent place to spend the night. Sterling City is the halfway point from our home in the hill country to our family in the panhandle. We have passed by this hotel at least a hundred times. So glad we decided to spend the night there this week. I would highly recommend it if passing through. A step back in time.
