Zuber's Homestead Hotel

Just an absolute joy to stay at Zuber Homestead Hotel. Room was delightful and fun. Service was amazing and the breakfast was delightful and beautiful. And the location was perfect. Its away from the crowd of the city and quiet. My wife and I sat out in the yard that evening and Iowans are very blessed with such a beautiful view and relaxing breeze. Can't wait for our return! Thank you for taking such good care of us during our stay!

We had a wonderful experience! Felt like we were visiting family. Everyone was friendly and shared their knowledge of the historical town and hotel. They happily answered my children's questions, and make us feel very welcomed. Perfect combination of Bed & Breakfast and Hotel. Loved that my children had a chance to experience Zuber's and their great staff!

Loved the old time feel! Quality vs quantity. Except for breakfast, which was both! (Thankyou Jo). You feel taken care of here. The Staff are very polite and helpful. Rooms were unique, clean and affordable. If you compare Zuber's to any other name brand hotel, I'd pick Zuber's everytime. You just can't beat it with all that they offer.

From comments on the hotels FB page, they appear to have closed permanently on Aug 25 2025. Sad day looked like a great place run by caring folks. (the 5 star was just because)

Very good and tasty breakfast Very nice and spacious rooms, clean and well maintained I enjoyed my stay there and nice quiet atmosphere. My stay there was a very pleasant experience.
