When we arrived at our spot, I thought being backed up the the loud highway was going to be a big deal. Looking back, that was the least of our issues. The campground has roughly 600 campsites and cabins, with 2 working bathouses (the third was closed in preparation for winter). The campground was PACKED. The bathrooms were disgusting. Used showers as sparingly as possible. The first time was 2 days into my stay- filthy. Drain full of hair a sludge. Second time was on our 4th night. There were flies completely invading the bathouse. I'm not talking about a lot of flies- I mean thousands. When I told someone, she said it's because it was 'fly season'. Their only solution was to take the trash out- saying it's because someone threw food in there. Had anyone paid attention to the state of th
Great place for kids! Pool was a bit murky and jump pad slightly deflated but kids enjoyed it. We stayed in the back in sights along the main highway. Never again!! Traffic does NOT let up, even during the night!! Nice sight if you don’t feel like sleeping. Web sight does warm you of this but didn’t want to pay the extra money for interior sights when we didn’t need electricity or a pull thru sight. Bathrooms were clean, shower rooms were not!! Lots of hair balls and standing water. This KOA definitely needs to think seriously about investing in more shower stalls considering the volume of people that stay here. Long waiting line at night for showers. Can get breakfast and dinner on sight for a price. PS: if you’ve got a dog make sure they’re up on their shots because people do NOT pick up
We stayed here during a family vacation to Yellowstone. The proximity is fantastic. The amenities are top notch! They had everything we needed down to the coffee hut. All the staff was amazing including the gentleman that filled our propane tank! Loved having the porch with a swing at our site as well as the fire pit. Tiffany at the front desk was so helpful, sweet and nice…just loved her!! We had our 2 pups with us so we took advantage of both off leash dog parks they had. The only thing I wish they’d had was a jacuzzi, but was told they’d gotten rid of it during c@v!d.
We let someone do payments on our camper and they never paid for it. We looked everywhere for it. Last stop was this KOA. Fred knew exactly what camper we were talking about. They helped unbury it from the snow and they also jump started it so we could get the slide in back in. They didn't even charge us anything for it being left there. They will forever have our business. Thank you
During our stay at the KOA in West Yellowstone, my son cut the bottom of his foot while swimming in the pool. I immediately alerted the manager, Fred, and another employee named Sam. I asked if they had any basic first aid supplies or something I could use to cover the wound, since I didn’t have my own kit. Fred said he couldn’t give medical advice, which I understood, but then he looked at the cut and said, “If I were you, I’d take him to a clinic for stitches. Don’t worry, we’ll pay for it — we have insurance, that’s what it’s there for.” He then gave me a small wound dressing to last my son until we arrived at the ER. Fred even comped our cabin that night, which I appreciated at the time. I then drove my son an hour each way to the nearest ER, where he received a mattress stitch. The b
