Yellow Door Inn

Yellow Door Inn is a wonderful place to stay in Salem, NY. My partner and I found it cozy, comfortable, clean, and well furnished. The supplies were generous and the host even left us fresh eggs from her chickens. The hosts were lovely and friendly, quite easily available (they live just upstairs), and also very respectful of our privacy. Altogether a high value B&B experience that happens to be located a short beautiful walk from the Salem Art Works (SAW), which is a creative wonderland for a stroll.

Our stay at the Yellow Door Inn was absolutely the best. The space was cozy, clean, stocked with great coffee and everything we needed to cook the farm fresh eggs in the fridge! The back yard has a nice bridge over a quiet stream. They are right next to Salem Art Works which is a lovely walk up a long hill that one looks the area. The hosts were accommodating and had excellent recommendations for local activities. We recommend this place for anyone wanting to visit upstate NY, check out local art and get the country experience.

Our recent stay at Yellow Door Inn in Salem, NY, was absolutely amazing! I can't say enough good things about our hosts, Klara and Greg. They were super friendly and always ready to help with anything we needed. It felt like we were staying with friends. The Airbnb itself was awesome. It had this beautiful, cozy vibe that made us feel right at home. And being right by Dog River added to the charm – it was so cute and peaceful. We spent a lot of time exploring the area which was so fun. Salem, NY, is a gem of a location. The art installations behind the house were a cool surprise and added a unique artistic touch to our stay. Plus, the view from the top was breathtaking. We couldn't get enough of the scenery. This is just the coziest air bnb we have ever stayed in! The interior is so uniquely styled and has everything we needed to be comfortable. The hosts are super helpful in recommending local places to visit and even took us on a hike at Salem art works with their adorable 🐶 River. In the morning there was coffee and farm fresh eggs waiting for us so we didn’t need to venture out until we were ready. The town is super cute and has a new wine bar which I would highly recommend. Perfect for a romantic wknd getaway in nature.

My family and I came to Salem to attend a wedding and visit with our in-laws. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to call home for this 2 weeks stay! The apartment is clean as a whistle and charmingly furnished, with all the amenities needed to cook, a very comfortable bed and a wonderful back yard and garden. The hosts are warm, communicative and very friendly & responsive to our needs. We look forward to our next visit at Yellow Door Inn!
