Yankee Springs State Rec Area - Chickadee Cabin

We went to the deer Lodge same area as Chickadee but way better real hard to book online tho have to go to the DNR website pain in the butt...... otherwise great place to stay

The camping cabins are great, although the campground is nice, also. The cabins have relative privacy for couples or small families. Quiet getaway.

CCC-era cabin built circa 1934. Cabin has lights, electric plugs, microwave, mini fridge, cooler, and coffee maker. Two bunk beds and a picnic table inside, picnic table and fire pit outside. Perfect for groups of 4 or less who want a quiet getaway on a peaceful lake. Watch the sunset over the lake from the cabin. Kayaks recommended for further nature exploration. Chief Noonday lake is shallow with a mucky bottom so not great for swimming. Highly recommend renting this cabin!

Really enjoyed coming here in the fall. Rented this cabin with my dad and brothers. This is the smaller of the 4 cabins on this property. But it has electric and heat. No running water.
