Wyndham Alumnae House

We stayed for our daughter's freshman year. The staff (both professional & student) were crisp, professional, pleasant, efficient & very caring. Our room was clean and bright. The food was tasty, hot, and coffee hot and strong. We've looked forward to each visit. She's a senior this year and sadly, this will be our last year. Have heard they've done some property updates, which will only enhance an already exceptional experience with them. Convenient walk to/through the Bryn Mawr College campus.

Not your typical Wyndham... but just what I was looking for. Wanted a charming option that was convenient to my daughter's college (Haverford). This filled the bill. The hotel is staffed by Bryn Mawr students and features only a handful of rooms in what appears to be essentially a lovely old house. Does it need a little refreshing? Yes. Do the old wooden stairs creak? Yes. Did I love the obviously antique doors, windows and fireplace in my spacious room (number 4)? Yes! Loved it. My son loved it. Spacious room. Gracious desk clerk. Charming and helpful staff. Super convenient. Very reasonably priced. Would I stay there for a week? Probably not, but I will definitely be booking in this lovely hotel when I return to Philadelphia in the not so distant future.

A lovely old building with well-appointed common rooms; friendly, bright and competent student workers; and comfortable if somewhat scruffy rooms. I didn't get to enjoy a meal here as I stayed only one night, but the pod coffee maker and packaged cereals and granola bars for breakfast were both appreciated though very minimalist. I was very comfortable here for a night and was happy to be in beautiful surroundings and close to (i.e, across the street from) my daughter.

This guest house offers lovely, well appointed rooms perfect for a visit to Bryn Mawr College. The property is similar to an historic B & B with a beautiful array of antique furnishings and decor. The house was very clean, quiet, and safe, and there was clearly attention to detail at every turn. The staff were very helpful and well-informed. There was a complementary continental breakfast served in a beautiful dining space, as well as 24 hour access to a variety of teas, coffee and a big bowl of fruit for the taking. And the bonus was - step outside and you're on campus! It's really a perfect way to visit the area.

I have stayed at Wyndham Alumnae House about 5 times. It is an old house, not a hotel, and is appointed like a quaint B&B. So the rooms are quirky and may not be as spacious or modern as a chain hotel, but the overall effect is cozy and lovely. The location, in the middle of beautiful Bryn Mawr College campus, is wonderful,especially if you are visiting the school. Students staff the front desk much of the time and clean the rooms; they do a good job for the most part. Breakfast is simple- cold foods only, toast, fruit, yogurt, cereal,etc., and starts a little late for me, but some foods are available to early risers. A pod coffee machine is fine when it is well stocked, but occasionally the selection of pods is lacking, offering only flavored coffee or decaf. Take advantage of the pretty
