WoodSpring Suites Santee - San Diego Northeast

This was absolutely the worst hotel we have ever stayed at and let me tell you. We travel alot. We chose this hotel to stay since we were having our house painted for the weekend. It’s close to our home and we thought since it has just opened why not? Nice new hotel. What could be wrong? They say there is a full kitchen but it’s really just a fridge microwave and a hot plate. No dishes or silverware or cups. No coffee in the room. You have to go downstairs for that. We had four people in our room but there’s only two towels. No hygiene amenities either. Oh and you have to take out your own trash to a dumpster behind the building. I have never in my life stayed at a hotel with this rule. Recently my house caught fire and my dogs, disabled mom, sister, her husband, son, along with myself and husband could not return back home due to damages so we all came here. Two employees stood out to me and i want to give credit where credit is due. Sam and Ashley, I want to thank you for attending to my family and I with excellent customer service, always making sure we had everything we needed during our stay. You both are super kind and made it feel like home. Sam and Ashley, continue to shine bright at work and dont let Looney blow out your candle. Thank you for everything. *The Hammond Family*

This is one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had at a hotel. The staff here were extremely rude and unprofessional. I stopped by WoodSpring Suites Santee – San Diego Northeast around 8:50 PM on March 3, 2026, just to drop off a food delivery. I politely asked to use the restroom, and the night-shift employee initially gave me the bathroom key — but then suddenly refused to let me use it. She began questioning me about who I was and where my room key was, even after I explained I was just giving food to a friend. The way she handled the situation showed no respect or courtesy at all. It was completely uncalled for, especially since I wasn’t causing any trouble. Very unprofessional treatment, and I would not recommend this place to anyone.

The location is perfect, 5-10mins away from many shopping stores, groceries, and fast foods. Very clean, we came from the OC area for V-Day weekend. Very affordable stay! The room for the size and price is unbeatable! 10 outta 10 as I feels luxurious lol

I had the best stay and experience here all because of Ashley. I was in a bad situation where my Airbnb didn’t work out and ended up here but Ashley checked me in quickly and was so sweet, kind and courteous! I will return for Ashley!
