WoodSpring Suites Columbus Southeast

Booked a month ahead of time and drove 17 hours to stay here. We showed up at 9pm only to find the front desk had been closed for the night and had to use a phone to get in contact with the front desk. The lady was very nice but informed us our reservation had been canceled along with several other people including someone who had driven 22 hours to be here. I did not receive an email telling me they’d over booked or a phone call. My husband and I had to find somewhere else to stay at 9:30 at night. I would not recommend just go to the holiday inn down the street instead. What’s the point of booking in advance if they just cancel and don’t tell you.

I made the reservation for 1 room about a week before my weekend stay. I showed up after 9 pm to check in after a long work and travel day only to find out that my reservation didn’t exist. One of the managers canceled my reservation that morning because of overbooking and I received no email about it. Why are you allowing people to book but not have any rooms available at time of making the reservation???? Why wasn’t I notified as soon as it happened?

I do not recommend WoodSpring Suites in Groveport, Ohio. My life partner and I were discriminated against because we are a gay couple. The staff was rude, unprofessional, and dismissive. A neighbor reported us for absolutely no reason while we were just laying down relaxing. The hotel was dirty, and the staff handled the situation poorly. Things escalated to the point where I had to call the police on another guest who was attempting to provoke me and made racist remarks. We did not feel safe or respected during our stay. This was a very uncomfortable and unacceptable experience.

Asked to switch rooms to the forth floor due to people above us always making noise all hours of the night. Staff wouldn’t move our room. Tammy the front desk lady, is amazing. Everything was ok until it was time for everyone to lay down and all you can hear is someone next door knocking the whole night long on the wall . I called the front desk and someone came to the room but never came back . Me and my children couldn’t sleep not one bit due to the noise . Called front desk again just for them to tell me they can’t do anything . Like this was very frustrating and annoying because the noise is constant and gets louder and louder . After reading all the reviews this place needs to be shut down or a new manager needs fo take over because customer service is trash the room is trash everything about this place how do yall close the front desk and how do your systems go down at 1am weirdest hotel I’ve ever stayed in .
