Wisteria Event Site and Campground

Beautiful piece of countryside! The Star Grazing event was well run. A Great time. I found the horse shoe shaped layout a bit daunting, as parking was around the bend & required a 3/8th mile walk . Which was more difficult due to the rough road surface. And magnified by huge stones & gravel. Returning at night was def tricky!! I could wish the operators would install a bridge thru the wooded , though steep gap between the ends of the "Horseshoe" . The many paths here & there with nice clearings & interesting mounds were outstanding. The staff were well equipped & very helpful, onsite food was OK. All in all a fine place to spend time at.

Stargazer Cannabis Festival July 26th through the 28th 2024. If you ever get a chance to go to an event at this campground make sure you have sensible shoes, sandals will not work and barefoot will not work, you will be hurting the first day of walking around.

Beautiful, incredibly clean and well kept camping. Very accessible clean well water that is drinkable so you don't have to haul your own water in. Clean hot showers and a huge selection of campsites. A small freshwater swimming pond within a walkable distance, tucked into the woods. The best thing about it is this gorgeous acreage was once an abandoned strip mine. If you know anything about strip mines, you'll know that they create a huge gash in the Earth and leave it behind as a barren waste. This place was reclaimed and seeded, and now holds trees grass wildflowers and other beautiful features. It's an incredibly positive vibe.

Amazing stone road wooded rough camping with a few amenities but a lot of beauty. The trees are huge and healthy and the pond is a delight. There are a few buildings that are comfortable places to hang out. The people who run the campground improve it every year! And I go every year!
